Upon arrival in Escalante, meet your guide and fellow adventurers for a pre-trip briefing.
Overnight stay in Escalante

Begin your trek from Escalante, following the historic mail route that once served as the only communication link between these remote towns.
Traverse scenic canyons, cross open plateaus, and enjoy sweeping views of the colorful sandstone formations and desert landscapes.
Arrive at Sand Creek, where you'll set up camp for the night. Relax and enjoy the serene surroundings under the starry desert sky.

Optional: Extended Two-Night Itinerary
For a more relaxed experience, you may add on an additional night. Spend an extra day exploring the captivating landscapes at a leisurely pace, with opportunities for side hikes and deeper exploration of the area's hidden gems.
On the second night, camp along the trail, soaking in the peaceful ambiance and enjoy more backcountry cooking.

Moderate: Suitable for hikers with good physical fitness and some backpacking experience. The trail features uneven terrain and elevation changes.
