Trip Overview

Join us for an unforgettable ski adventure in Gulmarg, India, led by an AMGA Certified Ski Guide. This trip combines resort skiing, lift accessed backcountry terrain, and the rich culture of Kashmir for a truly unique Himalayan experience. Gulmarg, known as the “Meadow of Flowers,” averages over 550” of snowfall annually, with prime skiing conditions typically between mid-January and mid-March.

Our recommended itinerary is a 10-day trip with 8 ski days to maximize your chances of finding excellent snow conditions and exploring Gulmarg’s world-class terrain. Ski from the slopes of Mt. Apharwat, one of the highest ski lifts in the world, enjoy long descents reaching nearly 6000’, and access remote backcountry terrain with both lift and taxi-assisted skiing.

These trips are currently offered on a custom basis only, allowing us to tailor the experience to your group size, skiing objectives, and preferred itinerary length. Smaller groups will ski directly with our AMGA Certified Guide, while larger groups may also include additional local guides.

Participants should be advanced to expert skiers comfortable skiing powder and variable backcountry conditions. A detailed gear list will be provided upon signup or request.

Approximate pricing ranges from $4500–$5500 per person depending on group size and trip customization. Join us to experience legendary Himalayan powder, breathtaking mountain scenery, and the unmatched hospitality and culture of Kashmir.

    • Arrival in New Delhi and overnight stay near airport for early morning flight to Srinagar.

    • Arrive at Srinagar Airport, greeted by your guide or guides.

    • Scenic drive from Srinagar to Gulmarg (approx. 2 hours), taking in the stunning landscapes.

    • Transfer to Gulmarg, move into the hotel, and have a welcome dinner with our team.

    • Evening trip briefing and dinner with your AMGA Certified Ski Guide

    • Review our avalanche rescue skills.

    • Ride to the top of the gondola for acclimatization and ski mainly on the lower slopes to

    • Explore the local terrain and get familiar with the area.

    • Enjoy the world-class skiing in Gulmarg's resort area.

    • Head out above the Gondola for backcountry laps as desired

    • Use taxis to access lower slopes of the mountain for varied runs including nearly 6000’ descents to Drung and smaller laps in Babareshi.

    • Ski from the top of Mt. Apharwat, one of the highest ski lifts in the world.

    • Evenings spent relaxing and hanging out with the team.

    • Transfer from Gulmarg to Srinagar.

    • If not opting for the add-on, transfer to Srinagar Airport for your departure.

    • Optional add-on: Spend a night on Dal Lake, staying in a traditional houseboat.

    • Optional Add-On: Night on Dal Lake

    • Experience the serene beauty of Dal Lake.

    • Stay in a traditional Kashmiri houseboat.

    • Enjoy a shikara (boat) ride and explore the floating markets.

    • Dinner and overnight on the houseboat.

    • Transfer to Srinagar Airport the next morning.
